Our community
Local tech starts with a human connection
The community was founded in 2019 to connect the residents of Ashdod, Gan Yavne and the surrounding area, and to create a genuine space for doing things together. Tens of thousands of technologists, executives, founders and professionals live and work in our region, and Ashdod Tech connects them so that knowledge, experience and opportunities stay close to home.
Since it was founded, the community has created dozens of collaborations and produced more than 50 content events. The community is led by Itamar Assaf and Alex Panov, and through meetups, startup mentors in Ashdod, freelancers and professionals in Ashdod and a senior executive peer circle we build a strong local network where people can meet, learn and build together.
Our partners: our activity runs in close collaboration with the Ashdod Municipality, the Kivunim Center and the Open Valley hub. Together we build a strong technology ecosystem and give founders and tech people a warm home in the city.
